Into the Kitchen with Charlotte Pike is a food and drink themed Substack, sharing expert advice and recommendations on growing, cooking, shopping and eating from me, Charlotte Pike, award-winning food writer, teacher and chef.
Please allow me to tell you a little more about me and why you might like to join me over here.
I’m a food and drink expert with over a decade of experience. I write cookbooks, teach cookery classes, broadcast about food, and offer consultancy to food brands.
Here, I will share what I’m growing and how, what I am particularly enjoying cooking (and recipes), brilliant recommendations for your food shopping, and delicious ideas and places for lovely things to eat. There may be the occasional Masterclass from me, too.
I love to write recipes that really work and are inspired by seasonal produce, my travels around the world and time spent living in other countries. I have worked as an International private chef for global business people, sports stars, Royals and film stars. I have taught Nobel prize winners, globally famous footballers and children in inner city schools, which has been a huge pleasure and privilege.
I trained as a chef at the world-famous Ballymaloe Cookery School, which is based on a 1000 acre Organic farm, and live in the English countryside where I now grow a lot of my own food, in my no dig beds.
I’ve been lucky enough to have built an amazing career in food so far, and my Substack will share my expert recommendations and advice I’ve picked up along the way, for anyone interested in good food and drink.
I’ll write to paid subscribers most weeks, to talk about growing, cooking, shopping or eating. Paid subscribers support my work by covering the time and costs in putting it all together.
Free subscribers will receive a monthly newsletter from me, but won’t receive any of the other pieces.
