Here's what I'm cooking this month, including 10 great recipes and 5 ingredients to try this week
This is a great time of year for fresh vegetables. We have lots of beetroot, chard, spinach and kale varieties in the garden. In the shops, I’m looking for pumpkins (Crown Prince and Kuri are favourite varieties) and I’m also buying more leeks, celeriac, cauliflower and kohlrabi. Fruit-wise, I really enjoy good apples, which I tend to avoid unless they’re at their best. I am buying big bunches of mint and parsley to add to a large number of dishes, to give them a real lift and freshness.
